Maroon 5 frontman is not a fan of MTV’s Video Music Awards

Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine took to Twitter on Saturday to air his disapproval of the award show, which he believes has strayed from the original mission.

“The VMA’s. one day one day a year when MTV pretends to still care about music,” The Voice judge tweeted Saturday. “I’m drawing a line in the sand. (censored) you, VMAs.”

Not taking too kindly to Adam’s comments, MTV shot back a message of their own by tweeting, ”So you’ll be tuning in at 9/8C tomorrow right? (BTW, bonus points if you TwitPic your 2004 Moonman!)”

Levine’s band are not nominated this year but won a Moonman in 2004 for Best New Artist.
