Frank Lampard helped The Blues earn a point in the Mestalla

33-year-old attacking midfielder Frank Lampard has been restored to the Chelsea line-up in Champions League Group E fixture Valencia vs Chelsea after starting on the bench for the past two matches. Lampard was reportedly very unhappy about being relegated to the bench for last Saturday’s 4-1 win over Swansea City as Chelsea’s manager Andre Villas-Boas looks to find the right formula to get the best out of striker Fernando Torres. It has been a rough couple of weeks for Frank Lampard and at the age of 33 it has raised eyebrows among football pundits. However, Lampard scored his 20th Champions League goal in his 78th appearance in the competition that has become a Holy Grail for him and for Chelsea. Frank Lampard answered his critics and sent a reminder of his importance to manager Andre Villas-Boas, but Chelsea were denied victory in the dying moments as Valencia snatched a 1-1 draw during Wednesday’s Champions League action.

UEFA Champions League September 27

I’m watching Bayern Munich vs Manchester City and Real Madrid vs Ajax on TV right now. Ajax are marginally on top though. They’ve surprisingly shaded possession in this match with 52%. It’s 80th minute. Like most school children waiting for the bell at the end of douible maths, City look like they want their difficult and painful lesson to come to an end as soon as possible.

Gay singer Adam Lambert has a great mom

On Sunday night, gay pop star Adam Lambert and his mom Leila were honored at the second annual Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays National LA Event. The duo received crystal kudos for his strong role in the gay community, and her support of her son and the LGBT scene at large. The inverted triangle, a symbol representing the LGBT community, was given to Lambert. The heart, a symbol representing the love of family who supports their LGBT children, was given to Lambert’s mom. When combined, the two pieces create the PFLAG logo. Interesting, huh?

Both Adam Lambert and his mother gave touching acceptance speeches upon receiving their awards.

Leila told the crowd that she suspected Adam might be gay at 17 and sought support from the group.

“A couple of years went by and sure enough we ended up having our big discussion and it was the most wonderful evening. We laughed, we cried, we had a great time. And it was not really a major moment. It just was easy. It just was who he was. And I never looked at it as a transition or anything,” Leila said.

“My experience is, I grew up in a very liberal household. My mom practically did cartwheels when I came out. She’s like, ‘Come out!'” Adam said.

“I had a very fortunate experience. So, there are times when I forget that not everybody has that same experience. Not everybody has it so easy.”

Yes, Adam Lambert has a great mom. What about his current partner? See him here : Adam Lambert boyfriend and share with me your thoughts about his choice.

Man United lose their 100 percent record as Stoke’s £10million record signing Peter Crouch equalizes

Stoke’s £10 million record signing Peter Crouch got the equaliser in the second half with an impressive header past David de Gea. This is his first goal for his new club. You can see the video of this goal here : Stoke vs Manchester United.

Sir Alex Ferguson was forced to draft Antonio Valencia in at right-back after Jonny Evans was injured in the warm-up, requiring Phil Jones to move into the centre. Hernandez’s night then lasted just 10 minutes after he tumbled in the penalty area under a challenge from Jonathan Woodgate – United cried penalty, though it appeared the defender had just about won the ball cleanly — and was then forced to limp off. It gave Ferguson the chance to offer Michael Owen another opportunity following his midweek double against Leeds but United missed Chicharito’s acuteness. Red Devils’ star striker Wayne Rooney missed out with a hamstring strain. However, Sir Alex Ferguson could look back with satisfaction on a point gained by a ‘world-class’ goal by Nani and three wonder saves from the much maligned David de Gea.

Weekend Recommendations : Premier League & One Republic

My music pick for this weekend is Good Life. The song is One Republic’s first Billboard top 10 hit since Apologize hit number 2 in 2008. So shouldn’t we call them One Hit Wonder?

Oh this has gotta be the good life
This has gotta be the good life
This could really be a good life, good life

Say oh, got this feeling that you can’t fight
Like this city is on fire tonight
This could really be a good life
A good, good life

For soccer fans, my recommendation is the English Premier League Manchester City vs Everton fixture. The others like Arsenal vs Bolton or Stoke vs Manchester United are too easy to guess the outcome so they’re not my favorite matches.

Valencia v Barcelona : Which team is your favourite?

I am so sad that I can’t watch the match tonight. Thanks God that I still can watch it later here : Valencia vs Barcelona. Which team do you think will win the game? If you are a frequent visitor, you sure will know that my favorite team is Barca.

Song of the day : Hold on – Chynna Phillips

I used to listen to this song when I was a kid.

The reason why this old song was picked as song of the day is that Chynna Phillips is now the leader of DWTS contestants.
See her performance here : Chynna Phillips Dancing With the Stars and don’t forget to vote for her.

I know this pain
Why do lock yourself up in these chains?
No one can change your life except for you
Don’t ever let anyone step all over you
Just open your heart and your mind
Is it really fair to feel this way inside?

Some day somebody’s gonna make you want to
Turn around and say goodbye
Until then baby are you going to let them
Hold you down and make you cry
Don’t you know?
Don’t you know things can change
Things’ll go your way
If you hold on for one more day
Can you hold on for one more day
Things’ll go your way
Hold on for one more day

Guys, I miss the 80’s.
