Manchester United v Stoke: A boring game

Here are two things we learned from the Manchester United vs Stoke City 2012 highlights today.

Both Anders Lindegaard and David de Gea were ruled out, suffering injuries in the same training session, so Ben Amos was called in to make his Premier League debut for the Red Devils. It’s a shame that Stoke failed miserably to exploit any nerves felt by the 21-year-old goalkeeper.

Manchester United certainly held dominance in terms of possession. However, Manchester United only can claim all three points thanks to a pair of penalties.

It was a poor game.
