Robin van Persie’s hat-trick saw Arsenal thump Blackburn

Here are three things we leanred from the soccer match Arsenal vs Blackburn 2012 highlights last night.

Arsenal captain Robin Van Persie took his tally for the season to 28 after striking in the second, 38th and 62nd minutes, with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Mikel Arteta getting the other goals before substitute Thierry Henry scored the final goal of the match.

Despite extremely cold weather and a subdued atmosphere at Emirates Stadium, Arsenal made a blistering start and found the net after only one minute 22 seconds.

Morten Gamst Pedersen briefly had Blackburn level at one stage in the first half, but an unlucky afternoon for the visitors was compounded moments before half-time when French defender Gael Givet received a red card.
